Nicol Ljubic has for his text, "Life has made them men" (published on 26.03.2009 in the star) in search of "sworn virgins" Albania made. Oliver Bilger describes in "if military service makes defenseless" (published on 13.08.2008 in the Moscow German newspaper) one of the worst abuse cases in the Russian Army. He went to Andrei Sychev, the tormented his comrades so brutal that doctors had to amputate both his legs - and still nothing would do better than to go back to the military.

By n-ost reportage award recognizes the network FS , r reporting on Eastern Europe texts that are characterized by thorough research, an unusual theme and excellent style. n-ost countries will and give the people of eastern Europe to a greater forum in the German media. It supports the n-ost-price report 2009 by the Polish Institute in Berlin.
